"The 'Travelers' Choice 2021' rankings have been released by popular travel website TripAdvisor and two Colorado towns made the cut for their 'trending destinations' list.
On a list of 15 United States towns and cities, Estes Park earned a rank of 7th and Breckenridge earned a rank of 11th. Gatlinburg topped the list.
Estes Park was noted for serving as a basecamp for Rocky Mountain National Park, as well as for common wildlife sightings. Roughly an hour and a half from Denver, this quaint town has been a top destination for tourists for decades.
Among the likely reasons that Breckenridge is a trending destination would be the large ski resort, the many hiking trails, and many well-known events hosted in the town throughout the year – all within a relatively close proximity to the heavily populated Front Range metro area when compared to many other resort towns."
